Hello, and Happy Tuesday! You know how some people say that Disneyland is the Happiest Place on Earth? Well, not for Mommy! Can you guess what place is happier than Disneyland for her? Go ahead... take a guess... OK, never mind, I'll just tell you! It's Tabby's Place! We've blogged about Tabby's several times, and in case you've missed any of the posts you can see them all right here.
McNultey
Mommy went out to Tabby's last month for a very special reason. I'm not supposed to tell you what that is because she's going to write a post about it. I'm just bursting, and I can't wait for her to finally write it!
June
As always, she took a ton of pictures of the kitties. Some are old friends of hers at this point, and there were some new kitties there as well. I thought it would be a pawtastic idea to share all of them with you. There are a lot, so the rest will come in part two. I know, I know, we promised a part two last year, but sometimes our secretary is not reliable. This time I purrsonallypromise there will be a part two!

Tabby's Place sits on several acres of beautiful property. There is a memorial garden out back to remember all of the kitties who have passed away.
It's not only for Tabby's kitties, either. People can buy memorial bricks in memory of their beloved felines.
Meatball, Mango and Tashi are three kitties who Mommy was very fond of. There is even an area for people to sit and relax, and reflect, if they want to.
You can see the solariums from a different view out back!
Now you know what the kitties are looking at when they're sitting outside and why the enjoy them so much! Okay, here are some more kitties for your viewing pleasure!

This little girl is Pixie. Pixie and two other paraplegic kitties were transferred to Tabby's Place from a shelter in Kansas City. (And guess what? Our friends' mom from As The World Purrs volunteers there! How cool is that?) Pixie's friends were adopted, but Pixie is still waiting for her forever home.

Pixie is treated like the princess that she is. The kind folks at Tabby's made her this window box so she can look outside and watch the world without worrying about falling down. Now, that's sweet.
Visiting the staff room was a little bittersweet for Mommy this time. One of her faves, Felix, had passed away since her last visit. Felix LOVED the sink and would sit in it waiting for someone to turn on the water. The staff placed a photo of him above the sink in his memory.
Another of Mommy's faves, Raja, also lived in the lounge. She also passed away since Mommy's last visit. She had a favorite chair, which was her throne, that she was always in. A new kitty, Lovey, has taken over the throne.

Lovey
We're sure that Raja would approve of the new queen of her throne. We can't remember exactly how Lovey came to live at Tabby's... either her owner died or couldn't take care of her anymore. Lovey has a sweet purrsonality and would love another home. Now, here is another of Mommy's favorites, Leah!

Leah LOVES the sink! Mommy got to turn it on a little for her when she was there. Do you enjoy seeing the Tabby's kitties? We've got lots more pics! And a very exciting story about... OOOPS! I'm not allowed to spoil the surprise so I better go now! But before I do, I want to say a very special thank you to our Auntie Lisa, who volunteers at Tabby's, for helping us with all of the kitties' names. Mommy always thinks she'll remember them but she doesn't! Lola
My human and I always love seeing your Tabby's Place posts! And how cool to see the solarium. And all the kitties! My human got a little sad when she saw Tashi's brick, because she remembers him well. I can't wait to hear your news!
Wow, Tabby's Place seems like a pretty cool cat haven! Lovey looks like someone fed her a few too many treats, but she is in the purrfect place to slim down and get adopted!
We just love Tabby's Place and wish we lived closer like you do. We have sponsored a couple of kitties in the past but had to stop when we were broke. Mom will start collecting SS at the end of December so we are hoping to start sponsoring another kitty from there again! catchatwithcarenandcody

What a wonderful place! We guess if you're gonna be a homeless cat, that's the place to be. One day the mom would love to visit Tabby's Place. Thanks for sharing the kitties with us.
I want them all!!!! I admit that the month or so where I went to PetSmart every weekend to pet the rescue's kitties was the happiest I've been in a long time. Of course, there's always the "occupational hazard" of meeting a kitty you absolutely can't live without ... but that's not so bad either. I love Tabby Place's catios! Those are really cool!
I can't wait to hear your news! All these pictures are amazing. Thanks so much for sharing.
On FB I saw that Tabby's Place is having a Thanksgiving event on the 18th so I looked up their address. They're only 35 minutes from me. I had no idea! I've already bought some things to bring with me for them. I'm very excited to see their place in person.
What a glorious place! I see they're located in New Jersey, what a beautiful property and building for these special kitties. These photos are so gorgeous, thanks for sharing them! Love & Biscuits, Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Tabby's Place is so special! Those cats sure are lucky to be there while they wait to find forever homes. I am very curious to know what your secret is! I hope your mom posts soon.
It's so sweet to hear about all the kitties and letting their memories live on in so many different ways! Do they have access to come in and outside when they want? That is so cool, I haven't seen that in rescues where I've been before!
Hi Amelia! I'm the Auntie Lisa that Lola mentions in the blog and I'm also a volunteer for the past 6 yrs. There are over 100 volunteers that help in cleaning, socializing and feeding. It's a labor of love and the pay we get is in the form of purrs and meows...can't get any better than that!
What beautiful kitties and such a beautiful place! It can't replace a forever home but definitely the next best thing they are obviously loved and well cared for. I love Tabby's they're my favorite, I had an orange and white one that looked a lot like Carrot, her name was Peaches, and now I have the big fat brown Tabby Rhette. I'd love for him to have a brick there as I'm his 3rd, and last mom. Dolly and Sandra
I can see why Tabby's Place is the happiest place on earth for you! I'd love to visit one day. For now, Best Friends is my happiest place. :-) Although, we literally live four miles away from the "real" happiest place. And it's pretty darn happy!
Hi, I'm Lola! I went from dumpster kitty to princess and I lived the best life ever! I made my journey to the Rainbow Bridge on 1/16/24. I was always passionate about rescue and animal welfare and giving all animals the best life they deserve. I was an author, too! You can buy a copy of my book below. My sister, Lexy, and my Mom continue the blog. Welcome!

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful place for cats...they all look so content. They must have a lot of volunteer cat servants there to keep the place neat and clean.
