Today I’m going to read a few entries that show how happy I was (and still am!) in my forever home. I hope you like them.
This is from January 23, 2011:
“…Mommy opened the door to my suite and out I ran! She said I’m a sneaky little devil! I ran up onto the couch and started snuggles with Will and Mommy. Lexy looked at me as if to say “This thing again?” but we were kinda nice to each other.”
January 26, 2011:
“…One of the best parts of the day is that I finally got to relax and stretch out on the couch. When I was facing Death Row I never thought this dream would come true. Life is good.”
February 5, 2011:
“I’m just too cute for words, if I do say so myself. This morning when Mommy was in the shower, she heard me meowing and meowing. When she came out, she saw me running around with the toy mouse in my mouth just meowing away! I was throwing it up in the air and catching it, too. Mommy said I looked like I was looking for a place to hide it. She was able to snap this photo of me holding my mouse (well, technically it’s Lexy’s mouse, but I like to hog all the toys).”
February 21, 2011:
“I love carrying my mouse all over the house.
I always lie on the couch with it. Brown Mousie is my best friend. (If you look closely, you can see that I don’t really tuck my paws. I kinda cross my arms in front of me. Mommy thinks it’s cute.)”
June 4, 2011:
“Mommy had her hand fixed and she’s ok. I took very good care of her. I’m so glad I’m here for her.”
July 5, 2011:
“Mommy was cleaning closets today and it was a lot of hard work. It’s a good thing I was here to help her.”
And one more….
December 31, 2011:
“One year ago, today I was a sick kitty lying in a cage in the shelter. Today I can sleep in the sun on my favorite chair. Life is good. Don’t forget to be grateful for the blessings in your life.”
I hope you enjoyed those entries and a sneak peak into my journey. If you missed my other readings, you can read part 1 here and part 2 here. If you’d like to order a pawtographed copy of our book, look on the sidebar on the right, or email us at lolatherescuedcat@gmail.com. We donate 10% of our royalites to shelters and rescues.
Thanks for coming, friends. And thanks for being a part of my life.
