A (Sort of) BlogPaws 2016 Roundup

Hello and Happy Thursday! Mommy is home from BlogPaws and we asked her for the whole scoop! She did a little better than last year (that report was very disappointing!) and this is what we got from her this year: 

Everything started out with a wedding!

Astrid of The Cat On My Head and Sampson from The Kitty Cat Chronicles tied the knot! 

 The wedding party looked just gorgeous! 

The proud parents of the bride and groom, Miss Janet and Miss Emily. 

Mommy and Miss Emily were roommates this time around.  They posed with Jack from The

Lucy Pet Foundation.  

This was Mommy's badge.  She got to meet Christy Paws, as you can see from her button. She told us Christy is just beautiful, and so sweet, too! 

When she finally got home at 9:00 am on Monday morning, Lexy had to check out her suitcase.  She could smell some goodness in there. 

 

 Boy, was Lexy right or was she right? Look at all that stuff! 

We made goody bags for her to hand out, and there were some extras.  (We're going to give some away on our Facebook page soon so stay tuned!) 

Umm... Mommy... these look like a lot of boring papers. I hope there's something more exciting in there! 

Now this is more like it! Gifts from our friends Christy Paws; Allie, Maxwell and Farraday; Ernie, Wally and Zoey; and Coco. (If we got one from you and it's not here, it's because Mommy mailed it home in a big box of other stuff.)  

Wow! Look at all of this great stuff! Thanks, guys! 

There was some contraband from Faraday in there, and Lexy found it! 

Katie and Waffles' mom, Glogirly, handed out these cool tambourines for the cat ladies to shake at the Nose to Nose awards whenever a cat blogger was nominated or won. It's adorable. 

I got a little carried away. I just had to touch that pink ribbon. 

This is some of the swag Mommy got from the brands.  The rest she mailed home because she couldn't fit any more in her suitcase.

She came home with this cool shirt, which is so her! That's because she meows at me all the time to get me talking. (It works almost every time.) 

 This is the BlogPaws swag bag! How cool is this? 

 Look at all that stuff! BlogPaws sure does treat their members well. 

 We got a special gift from the gang at The Kitty Cat Chronicles.  Their mom made us flowers for our collars! The one on the left looks blue, but it's actually purple.  The color of royalty for Lexy. 

Mommy went to a special tea hosted by AAHA, and a luncheon hosted by Hills Pet Nutrition. We were so excited when she told us she was invited because that means people know who we are! She also attended sessions where she learned more about photography, how to make a fear-free environment for cats, and how to do better with social media.  She also had 1 on 1 sessions where she learned about how to market our book better, spoke with Aimee Beltran about the social learning center, and met with Summer's human about book publishing and becoming a better writer.  

What Lexy and I really wanted was the scoop on what she and all of our friends' moms did "behind the scenes". But all she said was "what happens at BlogPaws stays at BlogPaws." Hmmm... Maybe Summer, Christy and Coco have the gossip. 

Mommy was very happy to sit at the CWA table a couple of times representing the organization and doing a book signing.  We'll meow about that with you soon, because Mommy has to get some photos together of her book signing partner.  Here's a hint.. she has fur! 

 She sure has a lot of stuff to put away! I'm kind of glad I don't have thumbs right now so I don't have to help. 

I have a feeling she'll put it off, though.  Lexy is really enjoying her suitcase!
