Hello and Happy Friday! I'm back with another great tail tale in our RescueStories series. Today's story is about one of our Instagram friends, Princess.
We fell in love with her gorgeous photos (which have earned her over 11K followers
on Instagram) and when we read that she was found on the street, well, we just
had to share her story. Read on to see how this street kitty went on to be
Princess of her castle.
Lola
My Mum found princess on January 6, 2016 on the street in front of a primary school, which is very close to our home. The weather was very cold that day, and it was one of the most severe winters in Ankara. The cat was playing with the students and when mum saw her, she ran over to her asking for food. We never had a cat before but mum immediately picked her up and brought her home. She was lonely, dirty, had some wounds on her nose and ears, a small cut on her right ear, lost the hair on her ears, could not even open her eyes - and she was starving.

Princess on her first day at home. |
Despite all of that when she arrived home she was very happy and began jumping and playing. The first thing we did was buy her cat food and litter. We opened the food package and before we could put it in a plate, she tried to get some out with her paw. When we brought her to the vet they told us that she was probably around 1 year old. After a blood test they said that she was healthy and they started her vaccinations. We are not sure why, but every time she visits the vet she is very scared.

Princess enjoying time outside with her family. |
She is the most smart and graceful cat in the world and this is why we named her Princess. Also in contrast to her previous life she is now living like a princess. Everyone at home enjoys taking care of her. She still likes to sleep but when she is not sleeping she is very playful and her passion is to watch the birds that live around our home. We think that she loves us as much as we love her.
I loved learning Princess's story - I already follow her on Instagram. Funny thing is, that's how my human found her heart cat, Harlot - she was playing with some kids on the street and wound up taking her home.
