The Wellness Difference
Wellness understands cat wellness and nutrition. Lola and I can enjoy eating an ancestral diet without all of the fillers. That means we are eating all the proper proteins and vitamins we need to live a healthy life. That means better nutrition for us and peace of mind for Mother. The Wellness Difference means every ingredient has a purpose in every food they make. They never add ingredients just to have the newest ‘buzzword’ on the label. The folks at Wellness do whatever it takes to create the healthiest foods for the pets that depend on them. Food feeds our souls, sustains our lives, and protects our bodies; it’s so good to know that it’s Wellness’s mission to help pet parents provide their beloved little furries a healthy, happy, long life through the power of good, wholesome, nutrition.
Why We Like Wellness Cat Food
Okay, I must be honest… the main reason we love Wellness food is because it’s delectable, delightful and scrumptious. But there are other reasons, too. For instance, all of their recipes are free from corn, soy, and wheat as well as artificial colors and flavors. And, get this, all Wellness Complete wet/canned products are carrageenan-free. No junk in this food! The Complete Health wet line features five different textures; morsels, minced, sliced, pate and gravies. Here at the White House minced is the most popular. It features tasty bits of meat in a light gravy for an added source of hydration.
Lola and I also have to have dry food on our daily menu. Don’t fear! Wellness Complete Health has a dry line as well. With the three new grain-free flavors of Adult: Deboned Chicken and Chicken Meal, Indoor: Salmon and Herring meal and Kitten: Deboned Chicken and Chicken Meal, there is a choice for even the pickiest eater. Wellness® Complete Health Grain Free recipes are formulated with carefully chosen ingredients and formulated with vitamins and minerals for optimal health.
Lola gives the Adult: Deboned Chicken and Chicken Meal two paws up.
The Wellness Recycle Program
We here at Lola The Rescued Cat love a company that cares, and it’s just awesome that Wellness is dedicated to long-term sustainability by embracing and supporting recycling efforts. How do they do that? Well, I’ll tell you. Wellness is the first US based pet food company to partner with upcycle and recycle leader, TerraCycle®, to help eliminate waste. And they give you the opportunity to donate to your favorite school or non-profit organization.
How Does Terracycle Work?
You can ship your Wellness CORE, Complete Health or Complete Health Grain-Free dry food packaging to TerraCycle for free. Just sign up for free on their website. Each pound of waste sent equals 100 Terracyle points. You can redeem these points for gifts or cash to your favorite school or nonprofit! Easy peasy! Head on over to Petsmart to pick up your cat’s favorite Wellness variety. And follow Wellness on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to stay up to date on all the latest news. And don’t forget….your Catisfaction is guaranteed! If your cat doesn’t like the new Wellness recipes, simply return the unused portion back to Petsmart for a full refund.
Which Wellness variety do you think your cat would devour?

We will have to check out these new flavors!
ReplyDeleteWe have been eating Wellness lately. We like that they now have removed carrageenan from their foods.
ReplyDeleteWe recently switched to a couple of these and we really like it!
ReplyDeleteWe love our Wellness food and are super excited that it is now carrageenan free! Glad to see that you girls are enjoying it too :) It's always nice to have a food that is healthy and delicious!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea to recycle.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty good testimony if Lola likes it. :) We would probably also like the gravy version. The lady is going to check out their ingredients. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBear's taken to the Wellness foods too ... he'll even eat the Pate when he turns his nose up at most brands' pate. It's a win-win when the cat likes it and it's healthy :) And if Lola approves ... you know it's got to be good!
ReplyDeleteI like to keep spry as an older kitty, too. I'm still a good jumper! Well, I'm a really good jumper when it comes to jumpin' down. Jumpin' up is SOMETIMES a little harder. PURRS.

ReplyDeleteI love Wellness!
ReplyDeleteThat Wellness sure does sound terrific. As they say, "good and good for you!"
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to find a food that works well for our pets. I'm happy Lexy and Lola are enjoying their food and doing well on it
ReplyDeleteWellness is great and has shown wonderful generosity with Colorado Pet Pantry. I'm impressed with their commitment to helping our dogs and cats.
ReplyDeleteSo glad it's Carrageenan free. Humans and pets need to stay away from it. We don't do commercial pet food but it's nice to see companies making that effort.
ReplyDeleteI love that Wellness upcycles- I had no idea before reading your post. They really seem to have the health of pets and our planet at the forefront of their business.
ReplyDeleteOur cats linke minced cat food, not chunks so we can't wait to see the tins appear on our shelves here in New Zealand.
ReplyDeleteI think I have to try this. It souds good and it looks good. Now I have to find me an adress to buy :D Pawkisses for a Happy Meal :) <3
ReplyDeleteNot being a cat person but knowing some basics about cat nutrition, I'm always glad to see can food, rather than kibble, in a cat's bowl.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice how there's a variety of textures. I hear cats can be picky about that. Mr. N prefers the pate kind.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you found a food that you like! My cat enjoys a variety of flavors and textures, but I understand he is more like a dog than a cat that area.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty cool about the Terracycle! I hadn't heard about that before. Rosie absolutely LOVES their salmon crunchy treats!
ReplyDeleteI admired your post a couple of days ago. I am so happy about the deletion of carrageenan from the canned food. The Signature Selects was one of the main foods Brulee would eat and I was considering stopping feeding it to the girls because of the concerns with the additive. I'm glad I can feel comfortable feeding them again.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of Wellness. I hadn't heard of them until recent years when my youngest cat became ill. I changed her diet to Wellness and although she eventually passed away from her illness, Wellness food gave her quality of life in her last months. She loved their canned wet food. Keep up the good work Wellness!
ReplyDeleteWellness sounds like a great food and I really like that they recycle, too! Thanks for the great review. I love the pics with the thought bubbles! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteCool pate
ReplyDeleteGreat review, Lexy! I'm glad that you like it so much.
