The traffic going to the show was great and they got there in no time! (It was a miracle, especially on a rainy day.) But once they got to Manhattan it took over an hour to find a parking garage that wasn't full. (That's how popular this show was.) They finally found one (that ended up only costing $17 - another miracle!) and then jumped in a cab to the show.
The cats were all the way in the back! If you ask me, they should have been in the front, but that's just my opinion. When they found Summer's table there was a crowd around it, so they walked around a bit and looked at some other cats. So here's where I'll give you Mommy's report on the show.
This kitty is a Donskoy.
And this is a baby Devon Rex. And that's it! That's all she got from the show! Mommy said that it was SO crowded that it was hard to get near the tables to see the cats and dogs. Eventually, they did get to pet a few, though.
Mommy and Will had to go back to Summer's table three times before she was free. She was one popular cat, that's for sure! Here are some photos of Summer.
Summer was very good at sitting so people could see her. |
This is Summer's enclosure that we see in her posts about her shows. |
Lots of children wanted to pet her! |
After the show they all hopped in an Uber (because no taxis were coming by) to the parking garage. Will went home and Mommy drove Summer and her human to their hotel in New Jersey (and she didn't get lost like she usually does in New Jersey, thank goodness!)
Summer had a little snack at the hotel...
...while the humans went to eat people food.
Mommy had a great day spending time with Summer and her human, and she loved seeing Summer in action. She's definitely a professional!
Mommy gets an "F" for her show coverage, but she gets an "A" for telling us all about our friend. We hope you enjoyed reading it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time! And how nice that your mom got to see Summer! We agree...the cats should have been in the front.
ReplyDeleteOur mom's dream would be to meet Summer and her human one day in person.
ReplyDeleteYour mom is so lucky. I wanted to go to this too, but just couldn't make it happen.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first clicked your blog open, I saw Summer and thought, 'what?!?' But how cool is that! You had to take an Uber to get to the parking...wow! Kitties in front, please!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great recap of having fun with Summer and her human! Your photos came out fantastic! Would LOVE to meet Summer! Thankfully I have met Summer's human many, many times (but it would be good to see her again although I doubt that I will this year!) Summer is gorgeous! catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteyour poor mommy - it is hard to get good coverage when it is wall to wall people. glad she got to spend some quality time with Summer and her human
ReplyDeleteI've never even heard of the Donskoy, but I adore Devon Rex!!! It's so exciting that you got to meet Summer and her human. I would've been starstruck!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you got to see Summer working like the true professional she is!
ReplyDeleteSummer was the best looking cat there I'm sure. Too bad you didn't stop by here on your way to Secaucas.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could have! But you might not have liked me invading your space, CK.
DeleteOh man, would I ever have loved the opportunity to meet Summer. WHAT a trip that was and so glad you had the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteIt's okay ... I know how distracting Summer can be. "OH MY GOODNESS, IT'S SUMMER!!!! Conference?! What Conference?" Add some squealing and a huge smile on your face and you get the proper magnitude of the "problem." ;)
ReplyDeleteHow fun!
ReplyDeleteGetting to meet Summer is way cool.
Have a great weekend...

How absolutely wonderful that your Mom got to meet summer. Our #1 is very envious!
ReplyDeleteThat baby Devon Rex reminded us of Daisy, one of our very first blogging friends who sadly stopped blogging a few years back.
