Lola and I each had our own recliner, and our cat tree snuggled in between in just the right spot where we could see outside purrfectly. But when our new furniture arrived, two new recliners were not delivered. We had a loveseat instead! The horror! At first Mother put our cat tree next to the loveseat. But as you can see, this was quite unacceptable. The curtain was blocking the view!
Mother quickly picked up on my dismay and engaged in a grand act of kindness. She moved the loveseat up about a foot so the cat tree could be in precisely the same spot it was before.
It made me quite happy. Lola likes it better there as well. (Although she hasn't posed for photos, take my word for it.)
There is a little less room in the living room, but Mother would rather have two happy cats than an extra foot of walking space. (Hey, less to vacuum, right?)
Thank you, Mother, for giving me my view back. It's nice to be accommodated in my one of my favorite spots.
Here's the photo I posted on Instagram so everyone would know how much I'm loved.
Don't forget to always be thankful for the little things. What are you thankful for today?
Lexy

How could she even think of moving your cat tree?!??!?!!
ReplyDeleteWe moved the furniture once, Dash (who could not see well) freaked out and the furniture was moved straight back to how it was.It hasn't moved since and he's been gone five years.

Great to read your first Thankful Thursday post. Your mom is so wonderful for making sure you have you view again. That curtain would of ruined bird watching time and sun puddles on your fur. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful rest of your day. Enjoy the new furniture.

How nice that your mom moved your cat tree so that you both would be happy. She's a good mom.
ReplyDeleteYour mom is so good to you! I love how Lola found a box to lay on top of :)
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky your mommy loves you sooooo much! I'm happy to see your happy faces!
ReplyDeleteI forget how tiny Lola is - until a picture with relative size is included. Mommas are the best!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love seeing that other cats are as loved as I am. I think, in the CB, we ALL are very loved and I love that you two have your tree JUST where you want it and that all is well again. XXXXX
ReplyDeleteMy goodness what we won't do for our animals!! Glad to hear Lola is back in position and you have something better to sit on then the floor! Our dog Jack has decided that he doesn't like pillows on the couch...but I do. I have about 7 beautifully arranged, and everyday, especially in the evening he lies on the couch and systematically flings each one onto the floor. I must admit it's hilarious to watch, so after he goes to bed I put them all back where they belong!!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww super cute kitty :) I wonder if my dog would be OK with a new kitty sister?
ReplyDeleteCat happiness should ALWAYS be first before anything else (sez Karma-Kat). And luckily, I agree! MOL!
ReplyDeleteA happy cat is a happy Mom is what I say and am so happy you were able to move your new love seat and they have their spot back is awesome
ReplyDeleteGood mama - she knows you always please the cat first. I love the throws too - less fur on the sofa and snuggly for you and Lola.
ReplyDeleteIt's very important to have you cat tree in just the right spot so you can view all the goings on outside! I know my cats and dogs, must have full view out the window!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of your mom to do that! I hope you're enjoying your view again!
ReplyDeleteAww you have a great mom Lexy. I'm glad it all worked out with your cat tree for now. I agree... you have to have your view! It's a must.
ReplyDeleteWell Lexy, that sure was nice of awnty Dawn to do that fur ya'll. After all, ya'll give her unconditional luv and purrs and luv and more purrs, you deserve all the space you want right where you want it. MOL Big hugs

Great blog post idea Lexy! My cat Puck loved his cat tree and used to sit in the window keeping watch.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness your Mom gave you your view back Lexy. Kilo and I hate change so moving the cat tree would not have been popular here either. All looks great now.
ReplyDeleteYour mom is the best! We are so happy she is so attentive to your needs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful momma you have moving that (pretty cool) cat tree to just the perfect spot! Now that is love! Enjoy your tree and the view!
ReplyDeleteIt makes a difference to have a special spot to relax. A view is equally important! Very therapeutic, indeed.
ReplyDeleteI love the cat trees. It's a shame one cannot have these for dogs ;-)
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. I'm in the process of getting some new furniture and I am trying to make sure everything works with the cat trees and litter boxes.
ReplyDeleteThis is Sweet Purrfections
DeleteSo glad the cat trees are back near the window - and that you have your mom so well trained to meet all your needs and specificities!
