Lexy: Last week Mother attended the Cat Writers’ Association's 25th Annual Conference and Awards Banquet in St. Louis, MO. The awards were given for content that was created in 2018. I have to say, 2018 was a busy year for us!
Lola: It sure was, Lexy! It was exhausting dictating all those words to Mommy while she typed, wasn’t it? It paid off, though, because Lola The Rescued Cat won 10 Certificates of Excellence in the contest! That’s the most ever for us! I mean, like, ever! Mommy wrote a post about it, but here is a list of the categories we were finalists in.
Written Article: Health and General Care
Written Article: Lifestyle

Lexy: It was a nail-biting ceremony, or so I’m told. I didn’t attend purrsonally.
Lola: Category after category went by, and our name wasn’t called.
Lexy: And then… when they got down to the last two categories we were in, it happened…
Lola: Can I say it Lexy? Can I? I’m just so excited!
Lexy: Okay, Lola. go ahead. And stop chasing your tail around before you get dizzy.
Lola: Whew! Okay… *takes a deep breath* We won the Muse Medallion for Best Website/Blogsite – Rescue and Advocacy! Oh, my stars, I still can’t believe it!
Lexy: That’s right, Lola, we did! We all worked very hard last year to make our blog shine. And it paid off! High Five!
Lola: We’re all so excited, and so grateful. Grateful for this award that means so much to us, and grateful that our hard work was recognized.
Lexy: And we’re grateful for all of you, too, for inspiring us to stay motivated. Thank you.
Lola: But that's not all! When Mommy went away last weekend to Massachusetts, she met a very special friend. She got to meet Miss Ellen of 15 and Meowing and had a wonderful time at dinner with her. (We're sorry she was late!) Miss Ellen gave us all some very special gifts.
We're so lucky! Thank you so much, Miss Ellen, we all love our gifts! Lexy claimed the mat for herself.
What are you thankful for today?
Lola, Lexy, and Dawn
