When I was at Global Pet Expo earlier this year I was thrilled to have the opportunity to re-connect with them. When I saw their LED Flower Fountain I knew it would be a hit because the girls have loved their other fountains.
The Catit LED Flower Fountain
This is our third Catit fountain, and it's probably the coolest and my favorite so far. The Catit LED Flower fountain is an automatic water fountain with a capacity of 100 ounces/3 liters of water in a compact reservoir that takes up little floor space.
New Features
There are two newer features that I just love! There is a water level indicator window that lets you know when the fountain needs to be refilled without guessing. And there is an LED nightlight built into the pump that glows with a peaceful blue color. The light isn't too bright to disturb light sleepers. I can see it glow from my bedroom, and it doubles as a nightlight for me when I get up in the middle of the night, or if it's still dark in the morning when I wake up.
Other Features
Three Water Flow Settings for Picky Drinkers
Catit developed the Flower Fountain with three different water flow settings - a gentle water flow, a bubbling top, or calm streams. This is accomplished by either omitting the flower top, inserting the flower top without the yellow floral disc, or inserting the flower top with the yellow floral disc and giving it a little twist (which will result in long streams of water.)
Triple Action Filter
The triple action filter includes a cotton mesh which filters out debris, active carbon that removes odors and impurities, and an ion exchange resin that softens tap water. The result is cleaner water for your cat. Magnesium and calcium, which can build up in your cats' lower urinary tract and contribute to urinary tract diseases, are removed because the water is filtered three times. Your cat will always be drinking clean, fresh water.
BPA Free
All plastics used are BPA free so your cat will not be exposed to toxic chemicals which can lead to long term health issues.
Other Benefits and Things I Like
It Doesn't Take up a lot of Space
As I mentioned above, the reservoir is designed so it takes up minimal floor space while holding a good amount of water. Apartment dwellers (like myself), know that floor space is precious real estate!
It's Easy to Set Up
I need a fountain that will not take me a long time to assemble, or that frustrates me in the process. That only results in the fountain sitting in the closet or with me giving it away. The Catit LED Flower Fountain could not be any easier to set up! Everything fits in the unit so easily, and I put it together in seconds. (No joking!)
It's Easy to Clean
It's just as quick to break down as it is to assemble with all of the pieces coming apart easily. To clean, just wash with water and gentle soap and rinse thoroughly. Voilà, you're done!
Your Cat Can Still Drink When the Fountain is Turned Off
We've had extremely hot weather here in my area with numerous power outages throughout the city. I would hate the thought of Lola and Lexy being thirsty all day in this oppressive heat. The fountain's petal top is designed with six water pockets. In the event there is a power outage, your cat will still have access to some water in the pockets. I was lucky and we didn't lose power, but if we did there would have been enough water for them until I got home.
.
It's Quiet
I've had fountains in the past that were so loud I had to turn them off when I was watching television. And Lola was so frightened she wouldn't go near them. The Catit LED Flower Fountain is so quiet I don't even realize it's running.
Final Thoughts
I love this fountain, and my finicky felines each give it two paws up! This is my third Catit fountain, and I find they get better with each new design that comes out. I gave my original to a friend when I got my second one, which I still own. I find that they're well made and are long lasting.

ReplyDeleteThis fountain looks really cool! We are always up for a new fountain. We also love the one we have.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty fountain. I like that there is a night light :) I am skipping the giveaway because I won a fountain last year. XO
ReplyDeleteWow. So many great features. Bear never did buy in to the fountain water bowl - but Ellie loved it. He can't use plastic, so maybe she'd love this one?
ReplyDeleteSince my cats often drink from the same bowls as my dogs, they could really use their own fountain so they don't have to drink dog slobber. LOL! My Moko has health issues and lately I've been adding water to her food to make gravy so she's getting enough fluids, but I would love her to drink more fresh water, too. This would fit perfectly by her cat tree (where she spends most of her time)
ReplyDeleteThat fountain is super cute ! Good luck to our US friends for the giveaway ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteMiss Dora the Explorer has never used a fountain. Now that she is getting older I think a fountain would be a great addition to her daily hydration options. The fountain would have to be pretty silent for her to accept it as she would say a waterfall or stream.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used a fountain before but would love to try it with him.
ReplyDeleteWe just got a Catit S Scratcher today as a matter of meow and this fountain looks nice. We have a fountain so will leave the winning to others. Thanks for a great review friends
ReplyDeleteI saw this at GPE and wondered about it. I was hesitant because I didn't like the previous fountains where I couldn't see the water level. My cats love water fountains and they prefer drinking from a stream. This may be something they'd like.
ReplyDeleteI would would love to see if my kitties enjoy a fountain. They like a dripping sink so I think they will.

ReplyDeleteI can't really get my cats to successfully use a water fountain. Maybe having the three different water flow settings would help.
ReplyDeleteMy cats have never had a fountain, but I'm sure they would love it. They share a large water bowl now, but often prefer to steal water from us humans; usually right out of our glasses!
ReplyDeleteMy cat has never drank from a fountain, but she's smart, she'll figure it out.
ReplyDeleteThey love it!! Mine broke so I'm looking for a new one this is super cute!
ReplyDeleteI have always just added water to their food since they weren't big drinkers but a fountain instead sounds great to try.
ReplyDeleteMy cats will love this. It looks remarkable.
ReplyDeleteHe loves to drink from the faucet but the fountain I tried was very loud so he wasn't too keen on it. - Lori
ReplyDeleteYes, they do! I have two cats, and one of them STRONGLY prefers to drink from the bathroom faucet. While the other cat is content with drinking from a dish, he enjoys drinking from the basin of a fountain.

ReplyDeleteWe have a stainless steel fountain and the cats like it but it’s a pain to clean and put back together. I had seen one like this before but was unsure of the plastic so it’s good to see that’s it’s safe for my babies. I’m also glad to hear that it’s easy to put together. Thank you Lola, Lexy and Dawn for the nice review.
ReplyDeleteLayla my lil dog drinks from the water fountain in the park all the time so this would be really cool to have in the house for her

I don’t have a water fountain for my cat but I know he’d love it! He has pancreatitis and needs to increase his water intake, a fountain would definitely encourage him to drink more water!
