I was so sick when Mommy adopted me. But she nursed me back to health and today I'm doing great! I go for acupuncture and I take Chinese herbs, which have helped me so much.
And I have the best life! I love having my silly moments...
and showing people how sweet I can be.
I love leisurely mornings...
And birdwatching from my favorite window.
And of course, I love being a voice for voiceless animals.
I sure have come a long way from being a dumpster kitty. To quote Lexy, I'm "vivacious, and quite the rambunctious little imp." And to quote Mommy, I'm "something else, that's for sure!"
As always, I'm paying it forward by having a comment-thon for my Gotcha Day and I'm raising money for Abandoned Angels Cat Rescue. We became aware of AACR when our great pal Shiloh of McFluffersons Fluffy Fluffs became their spokescat.

AACR is a very small 501(c)3 rescue, rehab, & re-homing operation in Columbus, OH. There is only one rescuer, Miss Lynda. She has a few fosters, and Shiloh's mom helps with the Facebook page and fundraising. That's it! They do not have a shelter or staff, so 100% of all donations go directly to medical care, spay/neuter, general care, and supplies for the cats. They are an amazing help to the homeless cats in Central Ohio.
We're happy to announce that for every comment left on this post and on our Facebook page we are donating $1 to AACR! I'm so excited!

ReplyDeleteMost Happy Gotcha Day Lola. I’m Mom to 2 Rescued Dogs, a Pit Bull and a Cairn Terrier Mix and FIVE rescued kitties. Kanny is a Russian Blue, she’s 18 and has kidney disease, but is doing very well, we just had an appointment with her wonderful vet, Dr Dan of Aloha Pet and Bird Hospital in Indian Harbour Beach, FL. I have 3 rescued sisters, Tehya a Blue Point Siamese and then there’s,the actual sister sisters, Catori and Raven. Mom said there was no way she could take 1 and leave the other behind. Then when mom lost her very special kitty, Grahammy Cracker S’More to nasty cancer she adopted another boy kitty and named him after 2 of our vets who are married to each other, Dr Dan and his wife Dr Danielle, so his name is DanDani and he is the Big Bopper, Big Boi and Devil Kitty! I remember 9 years ago meeting your Mommy on Facebook when Mama Pheebs and I followed your story. This is a bittersweet time for me because Sun Jan 19 will be the 6th anniversary of Pheebs’ passing. Not only can I not believe it has been 9 years knowing you but that it has already been six since my best girl earned her wings. 💜🌈
ReplyDeleteI have had and lost a few rescue kitties since Pheebs and currently your cousin Pearl is in charge. She’s a special needs kitty who was rescued from a hoarding situation, which we hope to maybe share one day in your blog.
