Hello, everyone. This is Lexy checking in with a review of a great product for you. Today I present you with Bootsie's Combination Scratcher by SmartCat®.
Lola loves to scratch horizontally. I usually prefer a vertical scratcher, but I can go either way. Bootsie's Combination Scratcher satisfies both of our preferences.
If your cat is like Lola, this scratcher can lie flat on the floor. The rubber feet provide stability and prevent it from slipping.
It's also wall-mountable!
I love how versatile it is!
Key Features
Let's take a look at some key features that make this scratcher just fabulous.
- The rubber feet provide stability, so it doesn't slip and slide around on the floor. Lola and I can run towards it at full speed and it stays in place when we give it a good scratch.
- Overall it is heavy duty and built to last for several years.
- The scratching surface is made of durably woven sisal, and encourages natural scratching!
- The versatility makes it the perfect scratcher for any cat. If your cat likes to scratch vertically, the combination scratcher mounts easily onto a wall via the single keyhole slot on the back. (Screw, anchor, and instructions included.)
- Measures a generous 24″x 7″x2.5″ to allow for plenty of scratching surface.
The Final Verdict
Lola and I give Bootsie's Combination Scratcher by SmartCat® a definite two paws up each. We both started scratching on it right away, and just love it. Right now we have it on the living room floor, but we have the purrfect spot on a wall where it would fit purrfectly. Lola and I are still in discussions about it.

MOL...Lexy, you are nooortyyyy !
ReplyDeleteNice stracher !
I would definitely use that scratcher! I scratch both ways!
ReplyDeletePawsome giveaway! I usually go vertical, but sometimes I like to mix it up and do horizontal.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice scratcher and a good size. Flynn was a horizontal scratcher and Eric did both.
ReplyDeleteThe cardboard scratchers that we have leave chunks of cardboard everywhere, so this one seems to be a better dealio! Da Boyz would use is horizontally, but for Sweetie, I'd set it up against the wall.
ReplyDeleteThat really is a pretty one but Simon eats the loose sisal things!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that looks pretty nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your pawsome review with us. Our two little ones at home are in need of a new one. They have a cardboard one and it's on it's last life. But we will definitely check this out. Have a great rest of your week.

ReplyDeleteEllie loves both orientations - she'll scratch both ways. But Bear definitely favors vertical - and not a scratching post. He actually loves that cosmic cardboard scratcher we won from you a year plus ago. No more furniture scratching!
ReplyDeleteHorizontally. You girls are so lucky.
ReplyDeleteOh we like that one. Daiquiri likes a good horizontal scratcher and mom hates the cardboard pieces
ReplyDeleteWe like the looks of this one as it has staying power. We have those disposable ones but Dad has been searching. Is this the one?
ReplyDeleteWe're mostly vertical scratchers but sometimes we use the horizontal one too. It's good to have options!

ReplyDeleteFrom Toffee the Cat: That's nifty. I'm from the UK so couldn't enter the competition but I'm hoping my old woman might take the hint AND BUY ME ONE.
ReplyDeleteWe have a vertical post and several horizontal cardboard scratchers. Unfortunately two of the cats - I won’t mention any names - like the carpet best!
ReplyDeleteMaybe this horizontal carpet scratcher will solve the problem.
Maggie
All of my cats are mostly vertical scratchers.
ReplyDeleteMy 3 cats love to scratch both vertical and horizontal with a slight preference for the vertical. Thanks for the chance, Dawn.
ReplyDeleteThat's a skinny scratcher. We make double-wide scratchers for comfort, and we'd need to make that one a triple or quadruple. But it looks very sturdy and scratchable.
ReplyDeleteMy cats like both!

ReplyDeleteMy cat scratches horizontally since he scratches at the carpet.
ReplyDeleteThis actually made me think about it...all of the scratchers I've given her are vertical, so my initial answer was vertical. However, sometimes she scratches the bed, which is horizontal - maybe that is a sign that I should get her a horizontal scratcher? Definitely food for thought!
