When the folks at Petlibro contacted me to review their automatic pet water fountain, I was very happy. I was sure it would check off all my required boxes.
Petlibro Automatic Pet Water Fountain
The Petlibro Automatic Pet Water Fountain is a worry-free fountain that provides your cat with fresh water 24/7. It mimics a spring as it bubbles, which invites your cat to drink.
Key Features
Five-layer Filtration System
Filters out hair, large particles, debris, sand, and rust to ensure your cat is drinking clean water. It also removes odors and impurities and softens hard water.Large Water Tank
Holds 74.4 ounces/2.2 liters of water which is enough to provide your cat with fresh water for several days.Easy to Clean
The reservoir detaches from the base, making cleaning a breeze. It’s very easy to carry over to the sink and wash with mild soap and water. Everything comes apart easily for a thorough cleaning.Easy to Assemble
The unit comes fully assembled right out of the box so you can see how it should be put together. Easy to follow instructions are included. It’s Quiet!
Runs at a low noise level of 38db. It is barely audible, so it won’t disturb your sleep or distract you when you’re watching television.Smart Control
The pump automatically shuts off. when the water level runs low. This protects the pump from running dry and ensures the safety of the unit at all times.Smart Night Light
The night light comes automatically in dim light to prevent anyone from bumping into the fountain. It also adds a tranquil, soothing light to a dim room. The light can be turned on and off with a switch on the base.
Our Experience
The assembly was the easiest I've experienced out of all of the fountains I have put together. I love that it is assembled right out of the box so I could see just how to do it after giving it a quick wash. The directions included are very easy to follow.
Lexy took to the fountain right away.
Note: mat is not included with the fountain. |
The water tray is shallow so she doesn't have to stick her entire face into the fountain. She also doesn't have to try to get water out of a small crevice, so it doesn't get in her nose. The height is just perfect and she can drink comfortably without having to crouch.
This fountain is quiet! We've had fountains over the years that were incredibly loud and annoying, but the Petlibro is practically silent.
One of my favorite features is the detachable base.
This makes it so easy to bring the fountain over to the sink to clean. No more dragging the power cord that is attached to the pump.
The nightlight is very soothing and adds some ambiance to a dark room.
To test the Smart Control feature, I let the fountain run for several days without filling it back to the max level. When the water level went below the minimum level, the pump shut off. There was no humming or grinding noises when the water level was low. It was absolutely silent and shut off automatically. I love this feature!
The Final Verdict
Lexy has given up on our previous fountain and only drinks from the Petlibro, so this gets two paws up from her. And my vote is two thumbs up. I love this fountain!
I have reviewed many fountains over the years, and this was has proven to be superior. I highly recommend it.

That looks such a nice fountain. It would have stopped Eric in his tracks. He would scrape all the water out across the kitchen floor, and we had to turn it off overnight because he would have run it dry.
ReplyDeleteThat really is a very pretty fountain!
ReplyDeleteToo bad we live in the Great White North! We are looking for a new fountain and this one checks all the boxes. Thanks for the review though! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
