Hello, and Happy Sunday! Wow... it sure has been a long time since we've done selfies, that's for sure! It feels good to be here today on selfie Sunday with our friends.
Before I go any further, here are our selfies for today!
We got a lot of snow this weekend, and I mean A LOT of snow! Here I am watching it from my cat tree.
Brrrrr! It looks so cold out there. I always say a prayer and a purr for the community cats, and I hope they're safe and warm.
Lexy was also watching the snow, but from the kitchen. She started giving Mommy sad eyes because she wanted snacks. Mommy wasn't getting it so Lexy just pointed to the cabinet where the treats are.
Lexy and I have a little message for our friends. We want to apologize for not visiting as much as we used to. We really miss reading your blogs every day and seeing what everyone is up to. Life has been crazy these past two years, that's for sure. Even though Lexy and I love having Mommy home so much (she's still working about half of the time from home), Mommy says working from home is really difficult. Even her teaching job is more difficult these days. (A little side note about that.... last night Mommy was teaching from home and I made sure the students saw and heard me. What better way to brighten up their evening than to see me? Right?)
We've had less time to visit everyone and less time to blog. And speaking about blogging, Lexy and I had a little meow about it. We've really been cranking out a lot of content the past two years, and although it has been fun, it has also been a little exhausting. Don't get me wrong, we've written about a lot of important topics that we hope helped people and cats, but researching them takes a long time. And since Mommy has the thumbs and needs to type everything for us, some posts never get finished. And then we get behind. You get the picture.
So we may be changing what we write about a bit. We'll see how life flows and where it takes us. We will still be doing product reviews, though. We just love those! But we're not going anywhere! We love all of you too much.
I told Lexy we better get busy posing for selfies. I mean, people never get bored of seeing cute cat pics, right?
Happy Selfie Sunday, friends! Thank you for always thinking of us and visiting. MWAH!
Lola

ReplyDeleteThose are sweet selfies. I hope you got your treats, Lexy. Blogging and also commenting takes a lot of time. It is better to cut back before it becomes a chore rather than a pleasure.
ReplyDeleteLovely selfies, girls! We understand about being busy! Just make sure we have regular news of you girls, please!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Tama and Benny
Girls, we love the selfies always. I will miss you and your mommy. Always was a pleasure to read the blogs but mom and I understand now you explain what your life is like re: bloggng.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful selfies.
ReplyDeleteWe hope both of you got treats - lots of them!
I'm glad you survived snowmaggedon! Nice selfies! ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteWe always love seeing you, Lola and Lexy. We understand that life has been nutty these past two years, and that life stuff gets challenging. We are grateful for you both, and for your mom, too. Thank you for being our friends. Whatever you decide to do, we'll still be here. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to see any post from you beautiful ladies. I am glad you will still be doing some posts. I was afraid you were going to say you were stopping your blog. XO
ReplyDeleteAdorable selfies, Lola and Lexy! Totally understand not always being able to get around, we too are in that situation due to health matters. We really miss everyone too.
ReplyDeleteTime is so very precious these days, But we love reading your posts though we cant always comment. Great selfies from you both. With snow on the ground, being inside is the best place to be, especially if there is a treat supply nearby and an audience to share your thoughts with, students or not.
ReplyDeletePurrs to you all

Hi Ladies! Your selfies ROCK! We feel your pain about the blogging! Our Mom has been blogging for us cats since 2009 and has been offline 3 times for more than 3 months because of Mom's work commitments. Even now, since she retired, she has gotten involved in a couple of projects where we have NOT blogged for periods of time.
ReplyDeleteYour Mom should NOT worry about us, we will always be happy to see you guys when you do get a chance to post. Sending you loads of energy!
We'll be here when you post; do what you must do.
ReplyDeleteIt's not fun if you feel obligated and rushed.
Take care, and stay warm!
I saw that on Instagram Gotham Critters was desperately raising funds to clear snow as her ferals could not get out of the underground areas. She is desperate.
ReplyDeleteYou do what you need to do with the blog. I did that when I wanted to focus on helping folks take better photos and take better smartphone videos. It's worth it.
I just brought home my rescue cat this weekend -- Ginger. She is kinda shy right now. She likes to stay in the bathroom but has ventured out a little bit today. I am taking a ton of photos! She looks like Lola!
ReplyDeleteYou two and your Mama do what is best for you - we know you will go on helping other kirries. We will be glad for any time you check in with us.
ReplyDeleteOur Human used to teach too and we are sure those kids loved having you join them !
Y'all be looking gawjus. Stay warm and toasty. Big hugs

Those are really nice selfies you two! Yep, busy happens sometimes but we're delighted you two will still be around, we enjoy seeing your beauty and your wonderful posts!
ReplyDeleteWould you believe we didn't get a flurry? Those are pawsome selfies, and I'm so glad you got those treats! I'm working from home now too and I completely understand what you mean.
ReplyDeleteLola, seeing you always makes my heart happy. I know Lexy and Ellie Mae would be besties as long as they didn't fight over treats :)
ReplyDeleteL & L.....we iz happee everee onez safe N aye oh kay....YEOW....if de eazturn sea bord dinna get slammed...we hope ewe stay safe N happee N healthee N we total lee getz bout yur blog....and mite we say ewe both bee lookin gorgeouz ;) ☺☺♥3
ReplyDeleteThe snow must have been interesting to watch, especially since you're cozy inside on that wonderful window perch. Your blogging must take so much time and effort, it's completely understandable that your Mom might need a bit of a change. Our mom spends so much time taking care of the 4 of us that she doesn't have the energy to blog about us very often.
ReplyDeleteYou have made a long and thoughtful post, Lola. It must help that your human is a teacher. We haven't visited your blog for a long time but I subscribed just now. I hardly get to visit blogging cats, because my human is always doing something else. At least she makes little posts for me so I can join in.
ReplyDeleteWhatever direction you decide to go in, we'll be right here reading it!
