Laika Pets Aqua Cat Water Fountain
There are a few features that I look for when choosing a fountain. It must be easy to assemble and easy to clean. With the Laika Pets fountain, I can check off both of those boxes. There are many other great features, so read on to learn all about them.
Set Up
Set up is very easy. First, lock the filter into place on the bottom of the lid.
Then fill the removable water tank with water.
Laika Pets Aqua Cat Water Fountain Key Features
Easy to Clean and Reassemble
The removable water tank makes cleaning a cinch. Instead of carrying the entire fountain over to the sink, you can remove the tank. The pump is attached to the top, so there is no need to worry about reassembling it. Both the top and the tank clean easily with mild soap and water.
Ultra-Quiet & Professional Pump
The pump is quiet! At less than 29DB, the fountain could even be placed in your bedroom and your sleep would not be disturbed. If you have a cat who is a little skittish around noises, the Laika will not frighten them.
Quadruple Filtration System & UV Germicidal Light
The water pump is equipped with a mesh to filter out hair and other debris to ensure your cat's water is clean and sanitary. The built in UV Germicidal Light, which comes on for 30 minutes every four hours, ensures the water is thoroughly cleaned by destroying potential germs and bacteria.
Smart Indicator Light & Auto Power-off
The indicator light will alert you when the water level is low by turning red, as well as when the filter needs to be changed. The pump will automatically shut off when the water level is too low.
Large Capacity Water Tank
The water tank holds 91 ounces or 2.7 liters which is perfect for cats to drink from for long periods of time so you don't have to worry about them running out of water. . It is made of high-quality ABS material and is BPA-free. It is also durable, safe, and easy to operate and clean.
Two Circulation Modes
Normal Circulation Mode: The water flows throughout the day and the UV lamp works for 30 minutes every four hours.
Eco-Friendly Circulation Mode: The water flows for one minute at five-minute intervals, and the lamp works for 15 minutes every four hours.
Our Experience With the Laika Pets Aqua Fountain
We have been using the Laika fountain for over a week, and I'm very satisfied with it. It was extremely easy to assemble, and it is very easy to clean. I really like that I can remove the water tank and take it over to the sink to refill or clean and I don't have to move the entire fountain.
The unit is compact and fits easily in the small space in the living room where I keep the fountain.
One of my favorite features is that the fountain has rubber feet on the bottom to prevent it from slipping. Lexy likes to move the fountain, and I often have spills to clean up. The Laika Pets Aqua Cat Water Fountain doesn't slip, so there are no spills.
The Final Verdict
Overall, I give the Laika Pets Aqua Cat Water Fountain two thumbs up. Lexy is obsessed with her fountains and has to see the water flowing. She can easily see the flow on the Laika without having to move it.
An extra filter is included with the fountain, which I find very helpful.
Lola also loves it, so both girls give it two paws up.
This fountain lives up to its "ultra-quiet" claim because it is absolutely silent! Lola is a little skittish around loud noises, but she is not spooked at all by the Laika fountain. Since I keep the fountain in the living room, there is no loud noise when I'm watching television or when an overnight guest is sleeping on the sofa bed.
Based on our experience and how well the girls like it, I definitely recommend this fountain to cat parents.
