Happy Thanksgiving From the White House
Lola: Hello and Happy Thanksgiving! Did I fool you with the title of this post? Lexy and I are not at the Pennsylvania Avenue White House, although that would be kinda cool! Since our last name is White, we live at the White House every day!

Many people may not realize that our centerpieces can be
hazardous to our furry children. Lit
candles can be a big danger to you cat as well as your house. If you’re planning on lighting candles please
make sure your cat is locked safely in another room. And please don’t forget that certain flowersand plants are toxic.

A Selfie for Sunday With Mommy
Hello and Happy Sunday! Sorry we haven't posted or visited friends, but it's been a crazy week. Mommy had to go to Long Island for a few days for work and it took her over 1 1/2 hours to get home each night! And, well, things were a little crazy for everyone this week and there was a lot of sadness and some meanness going on. But today is the start of a brand new week, with a brand new attitude, and what better way to start it than with selfies?
I decided to do my selfie with Mommy this week. OK, I should warn you... it didn't turn out the way I had expected. And she probably should have run a comb through her, too. Sigh... but I made the best of it.
No, No. This is much too close!

Hello, everyone, this is Lexy checking in. The holiday season is upon us and I have some great tips to get your home Thanksgiving ready for your guests in a jiffy.
I went to PetSmart with Mother to pick up a new box. The Lightweight type fits our lifestyle because we live in a third-floor walk-up and the box is easy for Mother to carry up the steps.

- Clear a place for your guests’ coats and bags. You can clear a coat rack in your entrance way, or designate a bed as the place for them to drop their belongings.
- Put on some music. This sets the mood and helps to relax your guests.
- Adjust the lighting. Turn off bright overhead lights and turn on table lamps and light some candles. This makes everyone feel cozy.
- Pick up a bouquet of flowers. They add some festiveness to your décor, and they smell nice, too.
- Clean the litter box.

Rescue Stories: Princess - Found Dirty and Hungry in the Street and is now Treated Like Royalty
Hello and Happy Friday! I'm back with another great tail tale in our RescueStories series. Today's story is about one of our Instagram friends, Princess.
We fell in love with her gorgeous photos (which have earned her over 11K followers
on Instagram) and when we read that she was found on the street, well, we just
had to share her story. Read on to see how this street kitty went on to be
Princess of her castle.
Lola
My Mum found princess on January 6, 2016 on the street in front of a primary school, which is very close to our home. The weather was very cold that day, and it was one of the most severe winters in Ankara. The cat was playing with the students and when mum saw her, she ran over to her asking for food. We never had a cat before but mum immediately picked her up and brought her home. She was lonely, dirty, had some wounds on her nose and ears, a small cut on her right ear, lost the hair on her ears, could not even open her eyes - and she was starving.
