Hello, and Happy Thursday Purrsday! Some of our friends have been playing along with Stunning Keisha, sharing 20 amazing facts about themselves. We decided to play along as well and we hope you like our answers. 1. What was the last thing you put in your mouth? Lola: It was Weruva Lamb Burger. It was delish! Lexy: I had the same thing for dinner. I was surprised Lola ate it.

Today is a very special day! I was going to have you guess what it is, but the title of my post gives it away. Today is my seventh Gotcha Day! Seven years ago today I came home - forever.
Several years ago after I adopted Lola and Lexy and became more involved in the cat community, animal cruelty started to come to my attention. The more I learned, the more I wanted to purchase more cruelty-free products. I always thought if a product was not tested on animals it was cruelty-free, but through some research I learned that wasn't true. Read on to see what the difference is.

I could spend hours in a bookstore perusing the shelves and getting lost in a story. Add a cat to the mix and I’d have to get kicked out at closing time! There’s something comforting and cozy about being in a bookstore with a cat, and Brandon Shultz brings this to life in his book, Bookstore Cats.
In October I brought you the fourth installment of a series of posts by Tina Traster, Producer and Director of the documentary film Catnip Nation. This month Tina discusses the importance of TNR ordinances to address the feral cat issue. I could not agree more! This summer I toured Alley Cat Allies' Atlantic City Boardwalk Cat Project, which is proof that TNR works! One of my goals for my blog this year is to write more about TNR to educate the public on this very important topic.Tell me your thoughts in the comments below. Thank you, Tina, for being a voice for feral cats, not only in Rockland County (my home town), but everywhere. It makes me proud and elated that the Village of Haverstraw, where I grew up, passed Rockland County’s first feral cat ordinance to support Trap Neuter Return (TNR). My niece went to high school with the mayor, Michael Kohut, and I went to school with his brother. (The Village of Haverstraw is small... everyone knows everyone else!) My dream is for this type of ordinance to be passed nationwide. Let's all help Tina and Catnip Nation spread the word by sharing this post. Are there TNR ordinances in your area? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Hi, I'm Lola! I went from dumpster kitty to princess and I lived the best life ever! I made my journey to the Rainbow Bridge on 1/16/24. I was always passionate about rescue and animal welfare and giving all animals the best life they deserve. I was an author, too! You can buy a copy of my book below. My sister, Lexy, and my Mom continue the blog. Welcome!
